Now, it’s easier to access foreign content than in the past. In particular, shows like Squid Games and Money Heist have boosted to profile and attraction of foreign content.
ARE FOREIGNER DEALS SKIPPING HOLLYWOOD?
Notwithstanding, Hollywood’s old way of business is changing. Likewise, more Americans are watching foreign content. In particular, studies say the U.S will be a majority non-white country by 2050. Thus, Hollywood should do the math. Critically, more Americans are opening their eyes and wallets to foreign content.
FROM GARBAGE CANS TO OSCAR PARTIES
Finally, Douglas’s advice to his younger self is to always give it your all. For instance, Douglas started out in business selling canola oil (fat). Later did a retail stint with Rubber Maid which makes garbage cans. He’s come a long way since then. To illustrate, before the interview he attended the Oscar party for Best International Feature Film winner Drive My Car.
Namely, things you did yesterday will hopefully impress enough people to capitalize on the opportunity you have today.
Primarily, think about your career a couple of moves ahead – like golf. For example, your objective in golf is to put yourself in a position to make birdy-put. Think 2-3 moves ahead. To make the jump into your dream job doesn’t have to be linear. However, have a plan.
